What happens each session

This is for you if...

  • You’re a complete beginner and want regular practice

  • You’ve started cutting but feel inconsistent

  • You want coaching without committing to a full course

  • You learn best by doing, not just watching videos

 

Not ideal if: you can’t attend weekly or don’t have time to practice between sessions.

How it works...

All students begin their journey in our Level 1 Mannequin Workshops. This stage is designed to build the foundations of modern barbering in a controlled learning environment before working on real clients.

​

During Level 1, students complete practical training alongside a structured workbook covering:

  • Hygiene & safety

  • Tool handling

  • Sectioning

  • Scissor control

  • Clipper work

  • Beginner haircut structures

 

Students are assessed on their understanding, consistency, and ability throughout the workshops.

Once students successfully complete the workbook and demonstrate the required level of competency, they will receive a Level 1 Completion Certificate.

​

After passing Level 1, students can progress onto our Level 2 Real Client Workshops. This stage focuses on working with live models under educator supervision while developing:

  • Confidence

  • Speed

  • Client communication

  • Haircut quality

  • Real barbershop experience

 

The goal of the membership is to guide students from complete beginner level through to becoming confident, capable modern barbers in a real working barbershop environment.

FAQ

Do I need experience?

No. We’ll coach you based on your level.

 

Do I need a model?

Level 1: No.

Level 2: Yes — bring a model where possible. If you’re stuck, we’ll provide one.

​

Do I need my own tools?
Yes. We have a student kit available to purchase.

 

Is it an NVQ qualification?
No — you receive a Kings certificate of completion. Skill + hygiene + insurance is what matters.

 

Can I cancel?
Yes — cancel before your next billing date.
